Its not my fault...lol

Ok so I see I don't really have any "followers" so not like it matters but its been bothering me... I have been doing my pages but my husband has been stealing the computer. He has been home which is sooo nice but he needed to work when the kids where sleeping which is usually my computer time too, and since I have not figured out how to do this on my phone yet. I had to wait for him. My camera is charging so when it is done I will take pictures of my work and post it then =) !!!

Scrapbooking Prep

Monday and Tuesday I spent several hours getting ready to scrapbook!
I have an online digital program I use and I have done Family 08 and 09. There was a sale going on so I thought I would buy them. But it turns out the sale doesn't apply to me... so I got frustrated and didn't buy anything =( . Well today I am going to start planning out what I want to do first because I start tomorrow doing making a page a day! I am excited. By the End of July I better be done with a book or two. I have desided that since Sunday is a day of Rest. I will not scrap nor blog on Sundays. They are way to full of Church work anyways!
Today I will set up the area as I have not really done that yet and I start tomorrow! Yikes so much to do so little time!

Day One Scrapbooking Challenge

Today I worked hard cleaning up the house. I even did 15 minutes cleaning the office and scrapbooking area! Then I spent 10minutes okay maybe longer =) looking online at all the fun things to buy and do!
July better get here quick. I can't wait but I need to get all my ducks in a row or else I fear I will not continue as it takes too long to get everything organized by the time I am done with that I have to put it all back. This time I have a zone I can do it in and leave it out if I need to. Yay Thank you David (hubby)

Julia Take Two

So after watching the movie Julie and Julia I decided I would write something on my blog everyday... well that didn't last, mostly because it was not interesting.
Then I realized today Julie set a goal and to be sure she kept it she blogged about it.
So that is what I am going to do also.
I have decided to take something I love (organization and scrapbooking are two "things" I love)
I am going to scrapbook every day for 6months.
There is a very good reason for only doing it for 6months vs. 1 year and I will tell you that at a later date.
So Starting July 1 To January 1 I will scrapbook every day for 15minutes! With the goal of completing one page a day. If I don't complete a page however as long as I spent 15minutes.
Like every good adventure you need preparation. I need to set up my zone where I will begin to work. So from Today til July 1 I will be spending 10minutes preparing the area, gathering supplies, setting goals and so forth.

March Resolutions

Well my life has been none stop! I doubled my working load last month.
So I have not stayed up on all my news years resolution.
My Resolutions are to increase my memorization of God's word.
The next is to get my house more organized (meaning 1. Less clutter, 2. consistent routine 3. more help from kids on daily cleaning 4. Also having specific times to do things such a weekly meal planning and weekly shopping same time and day every week.)
Then I have some academic goals but those are on hold recently due to me working more than I planned.
There are more written down but that is all I want to touch on today...
What have you been able to accomplish now that you have had 2 months to practice?
Mine are constantly change as life does and as long as the days of order out number the days of choas then I am doing what I set out to accomplish... what about you?

New Year Resolutions

SO is anyone besides me thinking of new year... new goals, new challenges ... new habits!

Well alot has changed in my life. Most of it is a positive change that has brought about much growth in my personal life, in my husband and in our marriage. Our children are so young it has not really effected them yet.
In addition to the plans that have been made are plans to make change... however those plans change constantly... that is the part of my life that hinders me from setting major goals and and challenges because it could be that all those goals and plans and energies are changed on a dime and all that would be for not. I am not thrilled about spending time, energy, emotion and money on something that may or may not be permament (although I am learning few things are)

So let me hear from you what changes are happening in your life. What resolutions are you making. Do you believe they are good, are they a waste of time? What are your thoughts and plans for2010?

Potty Training ~ Day One

Well we started the day in underwear and changed it 3 times before lunch... then after nap time we just stayed in our pull-up... we sat on the potty a total of like 5 or 6 times but nothing really made it into the potty, but I have hardwood floors and really good training paints so really there was little to no mess... just lots of laundry. lol!

So we are going to keep trying in unders for a few days, this one so far out of all my children is the most laid back not in a hurry to do things for herself but she is totally ready to try this, so it might take 2 weeks of constantly being on her, but I think this the longest it will take.

Also side note oldest (3yr old) is not completely bm trained and he was able to do it today in the Potty! So we are making great progress all around... especially since it was a rest day (for momma) meaning I stayed in my jammies and sat of the couch or in the play zone most of the day... just reading books and playing wiht toys! It was a good day.

I love my family!

My kids went to their grandparents for the weekend... which is nice break for Daddy and I but we always miss them! They went there for a visit but also because momma had to bake 4 turkey's for our Church's annual Thanksgiving Dinner... I also made a lot of other things for it and was in charge of all the food prep the morning of... it is so much work, but I love to do it!
So we are all tired tonight at the end of a long busy and rewarding weekend!
They missed us too! It was babies first time away and he was so happy to be home.
So good nite... I am taking a "rest day" tomorrow My only goals are play kids, and laundry.

Potty Training

My 2 yr old daughter has started to show interest in potty training again, she showed signs of readiness some time ago but I did not capitalize on that due to life circumstance I just did not do the work required to train her... since then I have not pushed the issue just allowed her to show me when she is ready! Well I decided for the next 2 weeks that is going to be my focus and I will report at the end of the night, my blessings and challenges.
The kids are spending the weekend with their grandparents so we will start first things Monday. We are gonna work a little bit tomorrow but she leaves first things Friday am for Grandmama's so that is not really long enough to stick with anything to be sure that she has it... with all the other ca motion in the house it could take a few days for her to get it... plus she is lazy not motivated to learn like the boys are... she is the princess and we do not do work!
So expect my report Monday Nite... we will see how it goes!

Seasons

This has been long awaited... by mostly me.. lol!
Well when I was in college we had once a week ladies devotions every girl on campus was required to attend (unless you called in sick for the day) Well at the time I was married so I was not required to go but did want to my friends where telling me that it was a guest speakers and it was gonna be really good! It was, it was really simple but was life changing for me! So I am sharing it with you...
So we as woman (and I think men too) have all four seasons in each month.
We have Spring ~ Bright, Energetic, Motivated and Determination. This is when we wake up in the morning we feel good about accomplishing great things, we are excited, we are not upset to tears about little things we just say "Hey when life gives you lemons... make lemonade!"
Then comes Summer ~ Summer is a happy time, we want to have bbq's and swim parties. We are focused, we know what is important to us (cuz we just spent last week getting organized, lol) We are all about family and values and life is still really good!
Then comes fall... Fall is not so bright in fact there are days where it is dreary and we are growing lazy as the days get shorter and the weather not so motivating... We are not so motivated we start to get lazy and relaxed we would rather settle in with a nice book, or play on facebook, we don't fall apart at the drop of a hat...yet. But we are starting to drift in that direction... our once happy go lucky attitude is now becoming I need some space or I will bit your toes off...
THEN comes winter. The storms are brewing and raging... and so are we (or at the very least we want to be!) We are in tears because we spilled our coffee and now the kids/ dog just ..... and we are done! "I am going back to bed I can't handle this today!" Or we are a battle ship who attacks anything that moves for simply moving... How dare they don't they know we are pmsing here!!! Gracious! find your own planet to move around it.. this one is mine!!! Forget happy dinners you'll be lucky if everyone makes it to dinner time, alive! lol Now some of us are more temperate than others our emotions are not as dramatic as others... yet the reality is we all have these "seasons" each month (some woman are temporally in a stage of hormone disharmony due to pregnancy or other life/health issues those stages are different and unique in themselves).
So now we know the problem, the symptoms what is the cure?? Well that one is not so simple What I am doing is, trying in my 2 weeks of motivated bliss keeping the motivation going long enough to accomplish the core things in life I need to. And staying up on the things that are require more motivation while in those stages! My pms happens to be my spring! lol and while on my period is my winter... go figure. Your schedule is different also. Learn who you are and what will best help you to be all God wants your to be in Fall and Winter when it is most challenging!

Sick and Tired

So I have been neglecting my Blog... lately my brothers and some of their friends who practically live here too have been over taxing the internet with downloading stuff. So I have used that as an excuse, combined with "I have worked hard today" and" I am sick so that makes me extra tired" so I will not blog... I need my sleep...
Well my life is basically the same... still need to majorly declutter of my master retreat... still need to get back on "schedule" but I have been working at it! And that makes me encouraged to continue to do good!
I am sinking into my fall emotions this week and I need to stay focused in order to stay on top of things... (See my Seasons blog ~ Coming soon)
Well that is all for tonight I still need to refocus before a long day of work tomorrow. and a very busy week ahead of me...

Getting Discouraged

I am feeling so discouraged with my oldest... I am afriad that I am negatively effecting him... but he constantly frustrates me in many areas mostly to do with his siblings and naps... we did something new today that I think will help but I was not there to witness its full potential...
Most of the trouble startes at nap time... Both Baby and my girl are so tired but it would seem unfair to allow boy to stay awake while they sleep, plus really he still needs his sleep too. He becomes very disobedient and confused... or whiny if he does not have his nap.
So today the new plan was lay down as normal... but when baby and girl where sleeping I removed oldest boy to play down stairs with Papa (my dad) while I went to work (I clean houses while they sleep a few times a week) So we will try it again tomorrow and see how it works... But this really doesn't completely solve the issue cuz He still needs a nap/rest and somedays so do I!

Need to keep it Going...

I had a great week of lot of great things happened. Both for myself and those around me! It has been nice and some what refreshing... Lets keep it going!
My sink is shiny and my living room is picked up my office still looks good after two days of working in it! My spirits are slightly discouraged as I am battling sickness (possibly sinus infection but I am too stubborn to go to the dr and have it checked) So I am sorta sleeping it off...lol whatever that means. I went on a hunt today for Olive leaf (heard it would help cure me) but couldn't find any! Despite going to several stores...
Well the Challenge this week is that I would shine my sink every night... also that I would floss every night this week... who is with me? Are you in need of some new good habits too? Well what are you gonna start to do everyday this week? Share with me!

Worker Bee Award!

Today I must have been in an organizational mood. Cuz that is what I did all day. I went to do some laundry and next thing I knew the laundry room was organized and cleaned up!
Then I went upstairs and me and Jon and Joy has school while the baby slept.
We played out side and I cleaned my moms garage for a little bit.
Then during their nap time I really got to work. I cleaned our entire office, including the dreaded filing cabinet! I purges out a lot of old college and church files and other files I got them all to fit in my two draw filing cabinet! Hubby just did the electronics. Now the desk has been dusted and cleaned and is ready for use! It feels so good to be ride of a lot of things we did not need!
What can you do. Just set a goal, block off some time and get it done!

Working hard dispite how I feel!

I decided Sunday night that I need to be determined!

Also I want a decluttered house... nothing in it that I don't need/want/ and love!! (This is a big deal since my mother and sometimes my husband...and defiantly my kids are all pack rats!) I feel I need to say I have great respect for pack rats when kept under control which I have seen some of them do, they are great assets to those of us who do not have a lot of things in our homes... when we need something they always have it or now someone who does!! That is wonderful, just be wary that you keep it in control so you can FIND the said item when the time comes...
So with that said I cannot live that way! Since having kids I had hoped I could change... but all I am doing by that is creating in choas for myself!
SO Monday I went into the kids room and every so ofter I have to do this it gets too much and I don't finish... but Monday I did! I purged my kids cloths again... mostly it was just my daughters did the boys all summer long.
Then Tuesday I did the living room... which was easy not much in there
Wednesday was Family day Daddy was off did very little house work just maintenance
Today I attacked the kids play room.. got to get ready for Christmas you know...
Tomorrow I am going to attack the office!! That will be a challenge but when it is all done I really feel it will help the flow of our lives!
Then on Saturday the plan is to declutter our Master Retreat! Would love to purge a lot and bring in our chair for a devotion chair.... but currently my house might be too small... wishful thinking!
Hope that challenges you to get motivated to be determined also!

Go Me!

Today I was a Super Mom!
We cleaned the play room this morning, then we played and messed it all up again...Then later that night we cleaned it again!
I got myself organized and ready for November and started to think about Christmas...
Then tonight my husband came home from work he made dinner. The best chicken Alfredo (from scratch) I have ever had! We then had fun carving our pumpkins (become my friend on facebook to see them)
Then we I spent an hour cleaning the house it looks great. The Kitchen is clean, the livingroom is good (not perfect ~ not the way I want it perfect) Then I cleaned the bathroom... it is sparkling!
This is a big deal because I have not cleaned it in 3 weeks because I had 15 warts burned off and have tried to keep them from coming back...which some of the small ones did... sadly I have to schedule a dr appt in the morning.
Then I put away 3 loads of laundry... Now I am going to bed a decent hour so I can get up early and I am going for a run with my husband!
So to sum it all up I worked very hard and now am going to enjoy me night to have another fantastic day tomorrow!

Let God's Glory Shine!

I have been struggling as of late. Mostly because I am not sure what the future holds and I am so focused on that... I am afraid to set my roots in and grow. Have you heard that saying, "Bloom where you are planted." Well I have been keeping my roots shallow because I am afraid that in a few months I could be ripped out of this soil and planted in a different soil. Which I am longing for a richer, fuller soil... the one I am in now is growing dry and musty...
So as a result of not allowing my roots to spread out and soak in the nourishment it needs I am kinda dying... I am losing myself... and it is some what self inflicted. I have know this for a long time that this is my problem but I really don't know the answer to it other than I just need to bloom where I am planted!
I have been trying to convince myself for the last three of four weeks to do this, slowly I am but I think I just need to do it... not slowly just do it all the way. Go as deep in as I can, If I need to be replanted in 3, 6, 12 months then I worry about it then but since the signs all point to staying put and trusting God then that is what I better do!

Thanks for those of you who have loved me through this stage of life. I wish I could have passed this up and done something different (had a different lesson then this one but God know what I need when I need it.) So again back to the Trust and rest in His love and Grace and Guidence!! He is always Good. No matter what!

Failed on my Challenge

I have failed on my challenge.
My challenge was to write everyday a praise of being a stay at home mom.
I feel it has become more of a journal of my day and that is boring... So I need to come up with a new challenge for myself I think. Something that I do everyday for a time that is of meaning and value and write about it.
At first I tried to tell myself that writing was of meaning and value and that is what I was doing but then I could not think of something to write about every day!!
So the challenge is on hold for a few days. I will probably still write in...

Loving Being a Mom

In Church Sunday night we were given the Homework to keep a friend accountable to do their personal devotions. I walked away without an partner, So I will share my story here.

Monday it was a good day. Normal pretty normal. I had a house to clean that day and left the kids with daddy. He told me later that he had a great time with them!
At work I got a bonus of PartyLites (brand of Candles) it was nice because I was just desiring some. God works in amazing ways. That is my blessing for the day. My prayer request is that my husband and I will have wisdom as to what God wants us to do in January.

Tuesday was a bad day. I was not always a good mom. I lost my temper several times and raised my voice... yet at the end of the day we had a nice evening routine. Toy Zone is clean... Kids are bathed with brushed teeth, and lotion... Now are on their way to dreams.
Also Hubby had a phone call today that was bad news for our future plans... However, we are just trusting God to see what He has for us. His will is best and we know all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose.
Blessing for the day is that my mother-in-law came and got to see the kids!
My prayer request is the God will show us clearly what He wants us to do in January.
